Getting started with Arolead
What Arolead does, the five-minute setup, and where to find everything else
Arolead answers the messages your business gets on Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp, and turns every conversation into a lead you can track. It runs on Meta's official APIs: you connect accounts through Meta's own login, and every reply goes through the same endpoints Meta publishes for businesses.
The five-minute setup
- Connect a channel. Go to Accounts and connect Instagram (with or without a Facebook Page) or WhatsApp. See choose a connection method.
- Build one automation. Pick a trigger such as a comment keyword, write the reply, and turn it on. See how automations work.
- Watch the inbox. Every reply and every conversation lands in the unified inbox, and every person who messages you becomes a lead in the pipeline.
That is the whole loop. Everything else in these docs is a refinement of it.

Where things live
- Accounts: connections, reconnecting, disconnecting.
- Automations: the visual builder, one flow per trigger.
- Templates: reusable message text, and WhatsApp templates synced from Meta.
- Leads: the pipeline, tags, custom fields, needs-attention view.
- Inbox: every DM in one thread list, with the 24-hour reply window shown.
- AI: your uploaded documents and the AI brain that answers from them (Starter and above).
- Scheduler: Instagram and Facebook posts, queued ahead.
- Settings: plan, billing and AI keys.
Rules worth knowing before you start
Meta's platform has three rules that shape everything Arolead does. Replies to a DM are only possible for 24 hours after the person's last message. A private reply to a comment is only possible within 7 days of the comment. On WhatsApp, anything outside the 24-hour window must be an approved template, and Meta bills those per message. All three are explained in messaging rules, and the permissions page lists exactly what Arolead asks Meta for and why.
Plans
Every plan has unlimited auto-replies. The differences are how many accounts you connect, which channels are open, and how much AI and history you get. The full table is in plans and limits.
